Well the OCT 20,  SO CAL RALLY went off without a hitch. It was a beautiful 
day out,  the turn out was awesome, and I would like to thank everyone for 
showing up.  Everyone was very nice and appreciative for my efforts to 
organize this rally.   We had a final count of 17 MR2's. We had 1 MKII Turbo 
from San Fran. come down,  and 2 mr2's from San Diego.  Out of all the mr2's 
we only had 1ok we had two MKI's but one  was on call, and could not stay, 
 and 15 MKII's. 10 of them turbo's.  Most  of the  people arrived between 
 12:00 - 12:30  when I did so we had allot of time to take pictures and 
checkout all the cars.  We departed at 1:45 PM and stopped part way up the 
crest for a photo opp. Some of the  pictures will end up on the NET so keep 
your eyes open for info on this. The drive was great, what a sight 15 MR2's 
flying through  the crest (two couldn't make the whole trip).  We did end up 
with one injured MKII ( I guess that ROCK SLIDE sign is NOT there for looks) 
but it was not that bad and no one was hurt. I think we made it all the way 
to the other side of Angeles Crest Hwy in record time!  ( Thanking the people 
who moved over and let us pass along the way )   We ended up at coco's in 
canyon country   for some food and talk.  I'm glad that everyone decided to go 
to the food part of this,  it was nice to see the faces of the people I talk 
with on the digest. 
   My idea of renting a track at WILLOW SPRINGS RACE WAY went over VERY 
well, so keep your eyes pealed for that next year,  around April / MAY  97, 
  I'm  thinking of   having another rally some time in February so look out 
for that as well.  Until next the next rally.........
